I spend my time and energy on the hair not the title...I'm just not creative enough, that's why the title is a little goofy...Ok, ok... a LOT goofy!
I started with a part on the left and added sections as i went around...repeat on both sides and join in the back for a pony tail or messy bun...
In this do, I left the bottom section of hair down. But you could pull it all up if you wanted too.

Linnae, you always make Kennedy's hair look so cute! I guess you did grow up to be a hair dresser in a way didn't you? Luckily your much better at it now than when you were little! :)
haha! thanks Shell
This is probably ever so random, and I do apologise, but I had a question: how do you get the lovely texture? You can see it especially in the first picture--kind of how the hair seems quite separated on top and you can see which parts of her hair go into which band? I tried this on my daughter's hair today and her hair looked really smooth on top, almost as if I'd just put it all into one band. I even tried doing a loose twist before I added each new bit of hair to a new elastic, but alas it just made her hair puffy rather than separate. My daughter's hair is very thin, though, which I suppose might make the difference.
I don't know if that's very clear, sorry. But thanks!
(Just so I don't sound like a creepy stranger: I'm a friend of the mom who created the 'Iolanthe's hair' journal.)
maelwaedd-I think I understand your question...But i'm not really sure I even know how come it turns out that way. I think when I first started doing connecting/trailing puff braids it seemed like I had the same problem...I will try hard to pay attention the next time I do it and see if I can come up with an explanation for you! SORRY I'm not more help!
Ah, that's okay. Thanks anyway!
I think if I'm really careful to get an exact part between each pony tail they'll stand out quite nicely. We bought a Hello Kitty comb yesterday and suddenly we're all for coming everything very carefully. :)
maelwaedd, I have an explanation for ya on how to get the definition of the sections for these type do's...I'll get it posted by tommorrow! :)
Yay, thank you!
