Curls Anyone?

I'm SO excited about THIS new hair styling product...new to me anyway...I found these curlers through a friend of mine. She used them on her girls, and their curls turned out gorgeous. So of course I wanted to try some! They're called "Curl Formers" and you can go HERE to find them. For as much hair as my dd has, they ended up being pretty expensive for as many as we had to buy... BUT...I must say it was completely worth it! I LOVE them!!!!!

'Curlformers' come in smaller packages of 6, 8, 10 or 12 depending on the size you buy. Or you can also get them in a starter kit. That's not what we did, but I'm thinking now that we may have been better off starting with the kit??...oh well! Live and learn right?

They come in different sizes & lengths...
for varying lengths of hair & depending on how tight you want your curls to end up

You'll use a hook which looks like a giant crochet hook.

Just pinch the end of the "Curlformer' to open it
and feed the hook all the way through.

Now, with the hook facing upwards...

...place the section of hair in the hook...
...pull the hook back through the 'Curlformer'...

...Dry the hair...

('Barbie' makes a great hair model when 'K' has already left for school and I don't have anyone/anything else to demonstrate on)
...remove 'Curlformers'
and you have a perfect curl!

We did this last night after her bath
They stayed in all night

Perfect Curls!!!

All we did this morning is pick through the curls and add a headband! It doesn't get any easier!
(X-cuse the mess in the background, we're painting)!

You can actually perm with these curlers too...
I Love the end result...Did I mention that I LOVE it?
Have any of you ever used these? Let me know what you think about these cool things! Is it just me, or are these things the coolest?

Those are awesome! Thanks for the heads up since we all know how our daughters "love" to sit while we put curlers in their hair.

Do they have something at the top that holds them on, or does the spiral shape just keep them from falling out?

"lolanthes mom", the 'curlformer' actually has a little rubber ring at the top and bottom of the curler...trust me, once they are in they don't slip!!! :)

I have some and love them!!! I use them on my hair all the time and even after 3 days, the curl still holds (I know that sounds gross, but I don't wash my hair everyday or it gets frizzy). I put a little "spray in gel" and it works wonderfully. So much faster than curlers! Pricey, but worth it.

hey thanks Rachelle

Are these hard to use? I'm not very good with hair! HOw long did it take you to do her hair?

Kenny Do's said...

Marci, they require a "little" coordination but really not too much. They are pretty simple...It took us 15-20 mins to put them in! I'm seriously considering perming her hair with these curlers...I'm just scared i'll ruin her hair

haha...Jenna, my dd doesn't enjoy them much either...I'm just not a nice mommy and she as my ONLY dd doesn't have much choice in that matter... I love primping on my princess and she actually loves the results! The PRICE one must pay for beauty!

Sara Jane slept with these in her hair last night and oh my GOSH, the girl had some CURLS this morning. Thanks for the recommendation! I bought the salon pack from Sally's and it was well worth the money. I put some pictures on my blog of her hair this morning so that you could see what you've inspired. Thanks again!

Hello my Kenny-Do's friend!!! Of course you are welcome to feature my Curlformers girls on your Friday Feature!! Thanks so much for asking. :) I'm wanting to put them in Sara Jane's hair again for Church tomorrow, so I'll try to take better pictures than her running out the door to school in the morning, halfway asleep.

Thank you also so much for your words of encouragement and your kindness. It's little things like being able to open up your email and find little bits of love when times are tough - it made me smile!
